Avoid the crowds with this 2-day Mt. Fuji climbing tour with a guide on the Yoshida route

1. Smart tour content to avoid crowds
・Departure is at a leisurely 8:00am ( 30 minutes in the morning is precious! 30 minutes later than other tours )
・Accommodation at the 8th Station Mt. Fuji Hotel (altitude 3,400m) ( Easy itinerary for the second day! Accommodation guaranteed )
・The sunrise is not at the summit but at the ninth station! You can leave the hut slowly and recover your energy.
You can avoid the crowded summit. ( Recover your energy and avoid traffic jams! )
・If you skip the hot springs after descending the mountain , you can avoid the traffic jams on the way back and finish at 2pm at the earliest! ( You can also avoid traffic jams on the highway! )
① We leave at a leisurely 8am, but stay overnight at a hotel at the 8th station of Mt. Fuji!
By departing from Shinjuku at 8:00, 30 minutes later than other tours, you can avoid the crowds at the fifth station.
The Mt. Fuji Hotel at the 8th Station where you will be staying is conveniently located, just 90 minutes from the summit. This means that you can sleep in the mountain hut until the very last minute before your summit attempt on the second day, allowing you to recover your strength, making this an easy itinerary for beginners.
②Catch the sunrise at the ninth station!
Even if you are staying at a Mt. Fuji hotel, if you want to see the sunrise at the summit, it will be crowded, so you should leave the hut early. However, if you watch the sunrise at the ninth station and then head to the summit,
Wake-up time will be changed from 0:30 to 3:00, and departure time from the mountain hut will be changed from 1:00 to 3:30.
You can add an extra 2.5 hours to your time at the hut.
Even if you can't sleep, you'll have more time to rest your body and prepare to leave, and you can use the time you spend waiting for the sunrise at the summit to take a break during your climb, so there's no waste and you can avoid the crowds at the summit.
3. After descending the mountain, we'll skip the hot springs and finish in Shinjuku at 2pm!
After descending the mountain, if you eliminate the 30-minute travel time from the fifth station to the hot spring facility and the 90-minute time spent bathing in the hot spring, you can shorten your trip by 120 minutes. In addition, you can avoid the natural traffic congestion on the highway in the afternoon, so you can shorten your arrival time from 5:30 pm, as scheduled by other tour companies, to 2 pm. As a result, you can get home earlier and spend more time recovering from fatigue.
2. The Yoshida Route is safe and comfortable thanks to its comprehensive infrastructure.
The greatest appeal of the Yoshida Route is that it has the most complete climbing infrastructure to support those attempting to climb Mt. Fuji for the first time.
Advantage 1: No need to worry about preparations! Fully equipped facilities at the fifth station
There are four large shops, including Unjokaku, Gogoen Rest House, Miharashi, and Komitake, where you can not only purchase souvenirs, but also have coin lockers (fees apply), changing spaces, restaurants, and toilets. It's a very convenient environment where you won't have to worry about changing clothes or storing your luggage before climbing.
2. Comfortable descent! The trails for ascending and descending are separated.
From the sixth station onwards, the ascending trail and the descent trail are completely separated. (The descent trail from the summit to the eighth station will be open from July 10th.) This structural advantage means that you won't have to pass climbers ascending when descending, allowing you to concentrate on walking with peace of mind even when you're tired.
Advantage 3: Plenty of toilets! A safe environment for beginners
There are 18 toilets on the Yoshida Trail, from the fifth station to the summit. This is roughly double the number of toilets found in mountain huts and public toilets compared to the Fujinomiya Trail. It provides a safe environment where you can concentrate on your climb without having to worry about finding a toilet. (Note: All toilets except the public toilet at the fifth station require a fee (200-300 yen per use).)
3. 7-piece mountaineering equipment rental option
For an additional 10,000 yen, you can add seven pieces of mountaineering equipment.
The average price for new hiking boots is 20,000 yen, so if you don't have any hiking equipment, we recommend the rental option.
Set contents: 1. Hiking boots (with a bonus pair of hiking socks)
② Mountaineering rain gear set (top and bottom) ③ Mountaineering backpack (28-35L) with built-in backpack cover ④ Mountaineering poles (set of 2)
⑤ Headlamp ⑥ Short spats (ankle cover. Prevents gravel and water droplets from getting in)
⑦Winter clothes (fleece)
Cold weather clothing is essential for climbing Mt. Fuji, but when we look at the cold weather clothing of people who don't rent, we see that it is often too bulky or they only bring down jackets, which is incomplete. For this reason, we include a fleece, which is an essential cold weather clothing, in the set. "I have a down jacket, but do I need a fleece?" you may ask, but down jackets become unusable when they get wet with sweat, so please be sure to bring not only down jackets but also fleece as cold weather clothing.
For information on how to pick up and return rental items, and if you would like to rent other mountaineering items, please see the [Information] below.
